# Export or delete account data

> Download a portable account export, control anonymous analytics, and understand permanent account deletion.

## Export account data

1. Open **Dashboard → Settings → Security**.
2. Find **Data export**.
3. Request or download the portable JSON record offered by the dashboard.
4. Store the file securely because it may contain account and service metadata.

A JSON account export is not a backup of every hosted file, database, Docker volume, or Minecraft world. Download those from their service-specific tools separately.

## Control analytics

Open **Settings → Privacy & analytics** to control anonymous usage signals from public pages. The current choice is saved by the control shown there. Essential security, account, billing, or service operation records are not the same as optional anonymous site analytics.

## Prepare for account deletion

Account deletion is permanent and removes the account and associated data according to the dashboard warning and applicable retention requirements.

Before deleting:

1. Export account data.
2. Download files, databases, worlds, volumes, and backups from every service.
3. Review active subscriptions and open invoices.
4. Record any domain DNS changes needed after services disappear.
5. Confirm no team, customer, or integration depends on the account.

Then open **Settings → Security → Delete account**, read the confirmation, and proceed only when ready.
